A few months ago, I received an invitation in the mail. When I examined it, I discovered that it was an invitation to my best friend’s parent’s 50th wedding anniversary party. I have known my best friend and her family for almost 35 years, as a result I have become very close with them.

Sacred Love is a high and conscious alter on which you place the ritual of bond. It is sacred because there is nothing that can be allowed to intrude on it, a reverence, a devotion. It is a place from which the rest of life, including your work and play, can be undertaken.

Perhaps it’s because life has become easier over the years or perhaps it’s just because people have higher expectations than they did in the past but whatever the reason one of the most common marriage problems is to bail out when the going gets a little tough.

How much space do you give to your partner/spouse? Or you are one of those who have advice on everything and who want to be with their partner at all times. Meeting your friends? Let me come with you. Going for shopping? I will also come. Going for a walk? Let me join you?

Think of meeting your partner’s parents as an audition. Wow them with your good points, and hide your bad ones- at least for now.
