It is truly amazing what people will say to sell you an online business. All of the lies, the deceit, and the broken promises in an attempt to take advantage of innocent opportunity seekers. It makes me sick! I think that this is the main reason I decided to write this article in the first place. Now granted, I am marketing my home business but I do not lie or instill false hopes in order to turn a profit or generate sign-ups. I do, however, rely strictly on proving that my site is different, that the opportunity is truly unique, and I definitely do not tell people that they will get rich overnight or show them my income spreadsheets to make the jealousy, greed, or the "in your wildest dreams" factor kick in. It is almost guaranteed that if a site is promising you money beyond your wildest dreams, with doing absolutely no work at all, it is most likely a scam. Every school kid knows his famous equation E=mc?. This brilliant physicist was also widely quoted on a variety of topics. While not recognized at all as a salesperson, Mr. Einstein was always promoting ideas and concepts, attempting to gain acceptance for them from a sceptical audience. Sounds like sales to me!I would be surprised if you have not heard his famous line, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."Do you find yourself doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results? Maybe it is cold calling, maybe its networking, or perhaps it is your "pat" sales presentation. "I've always done it this way."When was the last time you heard someone say "I'm in a rut and don't know how to get out." This is why it is so important to look at which company you will be using as your foundation. A solid reputation and a positive history with the Better Business Bureau is a good indicator that you have found a legitimate home business opportunity, yet keep in mind that there are still a few opportunities that are worth taking a look at that might not be registered members or may have just failed to renew their memberships. Budget cutbacks in the travel sector means that buyers spend less time than ever at shows. To make the most of their time, they pre-plan their agendas and do their best to stick to them. The rules of the game are forever changed.Since so many buyers are on a tight schedule – frequently, they’re only at the show for a day – they’re no longer there to window shop or go bargain hunting. The good news is that they’re there to “buy” – the bad news is that if you’re not on their A-list, you may not get the chance to pitch them. But a well-designed tradeshow booth can change their minds – with the right presentation, you can make sure they “see” you, whether they planned to or not.Think Outside the BoothWhen designing your booth it’s important to think about the impression you make from a distance. Stress abounds. Managers often tell me they can’t afford the time or cost for my humor workshops; how can they afford not to address workplace stress. We know clinically that laughter and play have medicinal qualities, offering physical, psychological and physiological benefits as well. In the workplace, humor and fun can increase productivity, encourage creativity, enhance team building, and thus improve esprit de corps. While we may not be able to control everything that happens to us in our jobs and work environments, we do have control over how we choose to react. I coach others how to create an environment which is safe and friendly, and use humor to help maintain a healthy balance between the pressure and seriousness which comes from high stakes jobs and a competitive marketplace. Remember that humor starts from within. Being able to laugh at your own foibles goe Seriously, there is some really stupid stuff out in cyberspace that I cannot believe people fall for these days. A simple keyword analysis, using major players like Google and Yahoo to test keyword search popularity, on phrases similar to "earn money today," "quick cash," "fast cash," "money," "income," etc. will yield thousands of hits. Why is this you ask? It is because people are always looking for a simple way to make a quick buck with little or no effort, and it really sells! So while they are looking for these ways to make money online and actually end up being victimized by a scam, the first group named is those who are actually recruiting or advertising for legitimate home based business opportunities because the entire group has become a stereotype. Many entrepreneurs are getting nailed and affiliate marketing is developing a bad name because of a bias that is generated as a result of these online scams. Do not get me wrong, I am in no way negatively attacking the victims of these scams. It is more so the bias or negative image that is created by them. You cannot expect to become a millionaire overnight, unfortunately, it's just not possible. There is nothing wrong with needing to make some extra cash or even searching for it on the Internet. You are actually smart if you are because the projected Internet growth is about to explode and home based business start- ups is at an all time high this year. Why? Because people like you and I are investing in this highly dominate marketplace we call the World Wide Web. Please, if you take one thing with you from this article at all, just know that nothing in this world is truly free. Except for my business opportunity that is...ha, ha, just kidding! It could be that you are agreeing to receive emails from the company, or you are a statistical number for some research firm, or your name is sold to partner companies, mailing lists, etc. NOTHING IS FREE! Whether it be your time or your money everything has its price and terms. For example, with my home business you have to confirm your interest by registering and then again to receive my emails because without communication or up-line support maintaining a successful home business could be extremely difficult for the average "newbie." I also require that you invest your time, your motivation, that you remain dedicated and never accept defeat. I am getting a little off track though so let's continue. Any opportunity that self pro
