What You Need to Start a Newsletter Publication
You may think it is a difficult task to start your own eZine or Newsletter but it can be a lot easier than you think. All you really need to get started publishing your own paperless Newsletter is content, a Auto-responder with broadcast feature, and a website (which is optional). What You Need to Start a Newsletter Publication1. ContentYou can compile weeks of content ahead in advance and slowly give them to your subscribers. For example, you can compile 100 short tips in one day and dispense 10 tips once a week. In other words, you can compile 10 weeks worth of content in just one day.. Sounds easy doesn't it!2. Auto responderYour Auto-responder is the most favourite asset. You need an Auto-responder to send your mails and eZine issues to your subscribers and to store all the subscribers details. Some recommended Auto-responders include GetResponse.com and aWeber.com.3. WebsiteThis may surprise you that this is actually an optional component. In short, there are eZine publishers publishing their newsletters without a website!Having your own website can offer you tremendous advantages, such as the ability to bring in more subscribers and having your newsletter indexed in the top Search Engines. These are

    Communication is the Key
I know we've heard this saying quite a bit when it comes to any type of business, especially Direct Sales. However, are you truly communicating with everyone you come in contact with?First off, let's break this down into the different ways we should be communicating.Potential Customers OnlineEmail can pile up quickly, but regardless it's important to take the time to reply to those who contact you about your business. Save the message boards, groups, newsletters, and funny forwards for later. At least until you've made sure you've properly replied to every personal message about your business.Potential Customers OfflineThis is very important especially at craft shows. Our sales have been outstanding even in the worst places due to actually talking to potential customers walking past. Just walking past they aren't going to see how beneficial soy wax candles are when they are just sitting on a table. So, we talk to them. We tell them everything about the candles and the scents, and ask them questions about their candle burning habits. We've sold many a tealight sample to those who have never tried them.Follow Ups on OrdersKeep in good contact with your customers. Thank them for their order and tell them when it's going to ar
There are numerous meetings that take place every day in organizations. There are informal spur-of-the-moment meetings. There are weekly staff update meetings. There are monthly executive briefings. And there are board meetings, training meetings, strategic planning retreats, meetings with clients, staff and suppliers.

Most meetings generally take too long, cover too little, end without specific plans, objectives or outcomes and waste time, money and resources. I believe that “meeting” is an important business function. Meetin

    Manufacturing Wind-Powered Vehicles Discussed
In the future we will have cars, which are powered by wind. Some of these cars will be hybrids or combination propelled vehicles where wind will be one of the components and indeed there may even be pure wind-powered vehicles at a later date, as the technology gets better. But how can we mass-produce these wind-powered vehicles of the future using current manufacturing technologies of today?Well as far as manufacturing these vehicles professionally, this is not so difficult as it might seem. I believe a modern Seadoo factory, semi robotic assisted would suffice. Of course to have production rates this high, means you need massive amounts of buyers too so before you start you must consider the order numbers. So, provided the sales teams and promotional teams could enlighten the masses and spark intrigue this could be done on a large scale. As a marketer myself this does not seem so difficult and as long a gasoline prices continue to be $3.00 and over you can bet that people would want to look into the wind-powered cars. There are of course other issues as well such as the price of the cars must be within reason for the average consumer and the fuel savings of the assisted wind-powered cars or partial wind-powered hybrid vehicles would need to be significant t

Ever Made A Hiring Mistake? They Can Be Very Costly Both Short And Long Term
Finding and keeping good employees today can be an on-going challenge for many managers and organizations. There are a number of reasons for this. A few of them are:1. Different age groups have different mindsets when it comes to work. Some people are only looking for a temporary source of income while others need a clearly defined upward mobility career path. Many people feel that their current position offers them the ability to improve their skills and therefore their future marketability while other people always have their resume on the street looking for something better.2. There are a great number of jobs today that require either highly skilled talent or entry level skill sets. Both of these groups have unique requirements and attitudes about the role work plays in their life.3. A significant percentage of the workforce population is becoming more concerned about overall lifestyle issues and that work is just one element of their life and often not the most important one.4. People in increasing numbers are starting their own businesses and buying franchises.5. Many people today are not willing to sacrifice their personal values, relationships, spiritual life or health for the sake of a job and satisfying corporate America's

Real Estate Advertising - 3 Predictions for the Future
For obvious professional reasons, I have been keeping close tabs on the real estate advertising scene for several years now. I also monitor general advancements in the real estate industry, especially as they pertain to real estate marketing and advertising. So I thought I might play Nostradamus and make a few predictions about the future of real estate advertising.A word of clarification first. In the context of this article, "real estate advertising" refers to a real estate agent advertising his or her services. It does not refer to the advertising of a home or other property. With that out of the way, here are my real estate advertising predictions.1. Print Advertising Will Fade Away As consumers, we are becoming increasingly blind to traditional methods of advertising, and there is nothing more traditional than the magazine and newspaper ad. These types of publications have formed the backbone of real estate advertising in the past, but in the future I predict they will (continue to) fade away as response rates fall through the floor. Print publishers and advertising agencies will obviously dispute this, proclaiming that traditional advertising is "alive and well." But let's face it ... we have all learned how to "read around" print ads. Hav

    Staff Motivation
I’ve been promoted at work recently and I realize that one of the key skills I need to have is the ability to motivate my staff, especially when big projects crop up and a lot of extra time and overtime is necessary. Good thing I have a mentor who has taught me a lot about these things. My aunt was once an owner and CEO of a successful company that provided medical supplies in the field of cryogenics. I have heard many of her past employees refer to her as the “queen of staff motivation.” Even then, I remembered thinking that I wanted to be thought of in the same way one day. Her methods were simple, direct and effective. For instance, one of her clients once told her that it was a joy to talk to her administrative assistant because she was so helpful. After the call, my aunt would walk out into the outer office and hand the administrative assistant a hundred dollar bill, say thank you and express how much she appreciated the good work. The assistant would be walking on Cloud Nine for days after that.Of course, staff motivation isn’t as simple as handing out money, but it isn’t as complex as some people believe it to be. My aunt said it was not a matter of giving them money at all, but of making them feel appreciated. Perhaps the most important thing to know is w
omes and waste time, money and resources. I believe that “meeting” is an important business function. Meetings get people together to share information, ideas, problems, activities, solutions and feelings.

One of the common complaints of many employees (including managers) is how many meetings are held that are a waste of time, energy and company resources. These meetings can be anything from an organized once-a-year corporate annual meeting or retreat to those spontaneous meetings where people say, “let’s take a few minutes a
