Look at any popular site and look at the growth of its traffic. Sites don't start at millions of hits a day, but over the years they can grow to that size. Where many fail on the internet is they are not willing to invest one of the most important internet commodities - no not money - time! Even Google the inspiration for many would be net millionaires took time to grow. Although its about 10 years old most of that growth occurred later in the J-curve, not in the first few years. Numerous other examples occur online - ebay, article directories, forums, myspace, etc.

The moral - Don't get discouraged because your traffic is not growing as fast as you like, so long as it is steadily increasing the power of exponential numbers can kick in. The secret is to get started as soon as possible, preferably before the competition.
