Fear And Courage In Starting A Work At Home Online
From the free encyclopedia Wikipedia, courage, it also has been known as bravery and fortitude, it is the ability to confront fear, pain, danger, uncertainty or intimidation. These nouns appear as a contrast of the courage one.For many philosophers, the courage is associated with the the soul largeness. It is a sort of virtue. There are many species of courage. It has the courage for the fight against the injustices; the fight against the poverty; the courage to marry and to assume commitments with a person; the courage to take risks in new businesses and enterprises. But the principle feeling that contrast with courage is the fear. Since early children have learned to have fear of the dark one, of the animals, monsters and the other oldest resources of scaring them, in order to make them to obey us. Later, when they have grown, we demand them courage, even so we have prepared them all the time to feel fear. For some

Tying A Company Mission and Vision Statement with a Guiding Principal
“Quality means the world to us” says Motorola. “The world on time” states Federal Express.“Quality, Service, Cleanliness and Value” says McDonald’s Restaurants.Ever wonder where those great mottos for major companies come from? “They aren’t mission statements, nor vision statements; not exactly an advertising slogan, though it can serve as an effective motto in advertising” says Don Midgett, author of Mission and Vision Statements: Your Path to a Successful Business Future. Your guiding principle is a brief statement that distills the attitudes of you and your employees and sets your company’s image for your services or product.“If asked to write the mission statement for the Polaroid Corporation, it would say some-thing like: “Design, build and market photographic products giving instant gratification to amateur photographers,” Curtis W. The Telephone And Your Business

"Mr. Watson -- come here -- I want to see you.". These were the first words spoken over our beloved telephone in 1876 by its inventor Graham Bell to his assistant in the next room (Thomas A. Watson). I have posted Grahams hand drawn diagram below, in case you want to re-wire your office.

The telephone must be the single most important tool for business today. It therefore shocks us that many people have little or no phone skills at all. Bad phone manner drives existing and prospective clients away in droves.

How many times have you phoned a company with a simple question that would lead to the purchase of a product or service? A time when you had to press the latest lotto result on your keypad only to be left on hold for 30 minutes. Then to be greeted by somebody who really just wants you to go away and die? Somebody who thinks of you as just another bloody call, a nuisance or interruption to his or her day. Your heart sinks and you feel an overwhelming frustration build up inside you. Your defensive walls are raised at a million miles an hour and before you know it, you went from being happy (like picking daisies), to looking at engaging in verbal combat with this person. I know myself that there are several companies that I need to phone but keep putting it off as I know that I will be left on hold until the next ice age (well almost). Due to this fact alone I am ready to jump ship as soon as a better deal arises. It is not good business. And definitely does not encourage word of mouth.

    Trucking Owner-Operator Pitfalls
There are a lot of good trucking companies out there. I have known company drivers for US Express, USA Truck, Schneider Trucking, Werner Trucking, and LTL trucking companies like Yellow Freight and Roadway Express that were really knocking back the cash. I personally have worked for Continental Express and Digby Truck Lines and did quite well. But for some drivers, working for someone else just isn't enough...The problem for some is that the lure of the open road tricks them into becoming owner operators before they are ready.I have been an owner operator for nearly 8 years and I would estimate I am pretty high on the food chain. "Making it" as an owner operator in trucking isn't easy. I didn't get here by luck, I asked a lot of questions and listened to what other drivers said their mistakes were. Learning from others' mistakes has helped me avoid some of the pitfalls they fell into.Pitfall #1 Lease Purcha

Work At Home Opportunity Or Stick With The Corporate World
Considering one's career path could be one of the most stressful times in a persons life. This is of course a scary thought for most people who face their worst fears, they lost their jobs. For most of us, its compounded by dread of the thought of going on a job Interview again and convincing some employer how you are the best candidate for the job. I've heard horrible jokes in the corporate lunch rooms about not hiring a perfectly qualified candidate who was over 45 because they didn't want their HMO group plan rates to increase by hiring older employees. I couldn't believe my ears. Its appalling, but a reality for many of you that are searching into corporate companies that offer the Safe & Secure jobs. They may just not exist anymore. So now your unemployed and you need to start a new job search, The most important thing you don't want to do is stay in a career that doesn't suit your personality, you'll become overwhelmed, unh

Defining Common Goals with Your Power Team
Working with team members is sometimes not an easy task. If it were, then more people would be on Power Teams. The problem most teams run into is the fact that they have not defined any common goals. If you want to increase your business by fifty percent and the other team members only want ten percent, you have not taken on the right members. When you can align your goals, the group will function much better. You only need to define one goal at first and test it to make sure that everyone is on board. After you have completed at least one project together, you can add more goals. Do not get too carried away with setting goals as this is a loose arrangement and not a corporation. What ever you decide to do, spend a minimal amount of time setting the goals. Goals will make the difference between getting where you want to go and getting somewhere. Save your time to do the work and make customers happy. If you can meet with you

    Working With Passion
Last week I attended the annual conference of the North American Simulation and Gaming Association. I have served on the NASAGA Board for the past six years. During that time I have served as the Chair twice and our company also has pro¬duced the annual conference.Never have I learned as much about myself at one of these conferences as I did last week. One of the things that became so clear to me last week—by the people, surroundings, and events of the conference—was the power of passion at work.I observed the passion with which many of the presenters and session leaders worked. It showed in their faces and work and, maybe more importantly, in the results they achieved in helping others learn more about their area of expertise. I observed the passion of the collective community of participants to seemingly never tire through a long conference program each day—with smiles and new friends and new ideas for their work.(well almost). Due to this fact alone I am ready to jump ship as soon as a better deal arises. It is not good business. And definitely does not encourage word of mouth.

King Faruk talks to you as if he has been waiting for your call all day. He listens to you, remembers your name, appreciates your call and tries to help you out as much as possible. King Faruk has made you feel good. Ands that’s what it is all about.

First impressions last. So if the phone is the first encounter with your business, make sure it’s a good one. It is vital that your staff understand this too.

Here are some easy to implement phone tips:
Always mention your name (and business name) when answering the phone. People like to know with whom they are talking. How do you feel when somebody just picks up the phone with 'Hello'?

Do people keep asking you to repeat your name?
If so, it could be the way you say your name. Try and slow down and say it more clearly next time. It will save you time and save people from the embarrassment of asking for your name again.

Don’t see the telephone as an interruption!
Somebody has taken the time out of their day to phone you! It could be your next sale.

    Answering your phone after 5pm.
Many people I meet, refuse to answer the phone after 5pm even though they are still at the office. However this is the time when you are most likely to make a sale or bring on a new client as none of your competitors are available. At Martin Print, I can’t count the number of times I have answered calls after 5pm and spoken to a client who desperately needed some urgent printing or was unable to phone durin
