Free Tips On How To Write A Successful Business Plan
I am often asked the same two questions. Do I need a business plan? What should I include in my business plan? I am going to answer these questions when writing this article.Do I require a business plan? For most businesses the answer to this question would be yes. For the majority of new businesses and ones which require investment by way of a loan or a business partner, a business plan is a must. Any potential investor will want to see for example, your future growth projections before they commit to invest. This is the type of business which does not require a business plan:A business which is happy to stay as it is and which has no plans to expand.A business which never has a need to take out a loan.A business which is a one man band and is self-sufficient, without the need of any outside help. This type of business is rare. Most businesses therefore will require a business plan.It is one thing being aware of your need to formulate a business plan, the problem is most people have no idea of how to go about creating one.The business plan will aim to show its readers all about your aims for your business and how you are going to reach these targets. You need to have a strategy firmly in place before even attempting to write the plan. You should know the direction you are going to take, the investments you are going to make in staff, equipment and machinery. You need to have business goals and an idea of when each target is likely to be met.In most cases a business plan is used to try to attract people to invest into your idea and business. It is your sales copy in effect and therefore if you create a professional, well laid out and strong business plan, people are more likely to take you seriously and to invest. On the other hand if it is rushed, poorly written and basically a weak business plan, you are unlikely to receive the backing you are looking for. What should be included in my business plan?People who read your business plan will not only want to know about the business itself, they will also want to know about you. Give them a brief summary of your history and what you have achieved in the past. Write down all of your ideas and really sell the positive side of your character to them. The fact that you are really hard working and that you

Hero's Journey - Master of the Two Worlds
The Hero's Journey is the template upon which the vast majority of successful stories and Hollywood blockbusters are based upon – understanding this template is a priority for story or screenwriters. The Hero's Journey:· Attempts to tap into unconscious expectations the audience has regarding what a story is and how it should be told.· Gives the writer more structural elements than simply three or four acts, plot points, mid point and so on.· Interpreted metaphorically, laterally and symbolically, allows an infinite number of varied stories to be created. The Hero's Journey is also a study of repeating patterns in successful stories and screenplays. It is compelling that screenwriters have a higher probability of producing quality work when they mirror the recurring patterns found in successful screenplays.Master of the Two WorldsThe Master of the Two Worlds is in fact the Final Conflict between the hero and the antagonism. Here, the hero has developed sufficiently to be master of both his Old and his New World. There are a number of elements that are common in this stage of the Hero's Journey:a) The Master of the Two Worlds may be separate or a continuation of the Crossing of the Return Threshold. If a continuation, it is likely that the hero will undergo an impossible dilemma before moving forward to tackle the antagonist. In Spiderman (2002), Peter Parker has to save the people in the falling lift or Mary Jane – he cannot do both. Once this challenge is overcome, he is free to combat the Green Goblin.b) The hero faces the antagonist one-on-one / a hand-to-hand battle. In Star Wars (1977), Vader has to come out to face Luke.c) The Master of the Two Worlds / Final Confrontation often takes place in a dangerous environment. It is not unusual for the battle to occur in the antagonist's lair. In Lord of War (2005), Yuri faces off Valentine in prison – somewhere where he will likely spend the rest of his days if not careful.d) The Hero will often view the Final Confrontation from a distance and judge it. The hero will be strangely confident. Similarly, the anticipated event will (often) be welcomed by the antagonist, who will also be confident.e) There will be intense Time Pressure to resolve the conflict. This is most apparent in the Bond franchise

How To Raise Your Credit Score
Is it really that important to raise your credit score? Maybe. Lenders have "break points" between scores that get you one interest rate or another. Suppose you have a score of 688, and the lender drops the mortgage rate by .5% at 690. Those two points can cost you an extra $20,000 in interest on a $170,000 loan (over 30 years at 6.5% instead of 6%). Is that important enough for you? What can you do?Eight Ways To Raise Your Credit ScoreThere are ways to raise your credit score. Some of them take more time than others to have an impact, but if you start working on it now, you can boost that score before long.1. Check credit reports for errors. If there are errors that are hurting your score, contact the credit reporting agency that issued the report and challenge them. The agency is obligated to investigate and correct any mistakes within thirty days. If a creditor doesn't respond to their inquiries, they have to automatically remove the item in question (you may have to remind them about this part of the law).2. Pay off balances every month. It is just good for your future, as a way to keep you out of excessive debt. It can save you a lot in interest also. Finally, it demonstrates your ability to manage your debt, and so increases your credit score.3. Have the right number of credit cards. At least two is best, but having more than five or six can actually lower your score.4. Pay bills on time. Borrow money to get those bills paid on time, if you have to. Paying on time has the biggest positive impact on your credit score. Unfortunately, paying off old delinquencies won't immediately raise your credit score, because these will still show as being paid late, but start paying on time now, and with time, these old late payments are deemed less important.5. Manage your credit card balances. It's best for your credit score if the balance on a given card is less than 50% of the limit on that card. Manage your use of your cards to keep the balances below this amount. If, for example, you have three cards with limits of $2,000, $3,000 and $2,500, it is better to have a $600 balance on each than $1800 on one.6. Don't apply for too many cards and loans. These applications generate inquiries on your credit reports. Having oo many inquiries in a short time lowers your score. Avoid ap

3 Copywriting Tips - How To Edit For Mass Appeal!
Web copy that's intended to sell or generate leads needs to quickly reach out and grab attention and build rapport with a target audience. You can connect with your audience more effectively if you understand something about how people process information, and how they think.Every one of us is constantly sorting, distorting, and generalizing what we perceive, just to stay sane.As a result, different people see the world differently. You probably want to appeal to as many of them within your target market as possible. Here are three simple tips you can use when it comes to editing your web copy.1 - An idea can be made to appeal to more people if it is expressed in both a positive (moving toward), and a negative (moving away from) fashion.Look how it's done in this famous lead..."TWO YEARS FROM NOW, your business could easily be worth 2.5 to 25 times what it's worth today...Or you could fall into the list of business also-rans... " Some people are motivated by the desire for gain, and others by the fear of loss. With a statement like this, it doesn’t matter which, you're speaking their language either way.Another great example of this is in the life insurance industry. Rather than try to force a square peg into a round whole, the insurance companies came up with the idea of "cash value". Now the sales pitch could be reframed to appeal to both types of people. Those that moved toward pleasure could be sold on the idea of early retirement, and those that moved away from pain could be sold on the more traditional idea of income protection.2 - The second idea is internal versus external frame of reference. Some people do things because they see others doing them. Some people want to relate things to their own experience. The former is impressed by testimonials and success stories, while the latter is moved by deductive reasoning, analogy, and metaphor. You can see this requires two very different kinds of selling. Here's another way to look at internal versus external orientation. The internally directed person values a sense of achievement while the externally directed person values recognition. Two sides to the same coin.So you might say in your copy, "Picture the smiles of appreciation your family will reward you with when they begin to enjoy the new lifestyle this knowledge can affo

IT Career Error! Click Here to Repair
Two years ago Jeff was a discontented software developer. His work left him frustrated and mentally drained each day. His performance reviews were generally positive, but always noted a lack of genuine interest or motivation. He agreed completely with these reviews. Following a specific aptitude test and some coaching, Jeff understood the reason and set his sights on becoming a systems administrator…and he’s never looked back.Jeff’s feeling that there was something missing in his career is all too common. Despite the money, the telecommuting—and even the sandals—a growing number of IT professionals are complaining that their work lives seem to have no meaning. And on the surface, this doesn’t seem to make sense. These folks seem to have the necessary interest in technology, even the basic aptitudes for it. But they are frustrated by their work, find it tedious and rarely spend their free time reading trade magazines about their profession. What’s the explanation? In nature, plants and animals flourish when the environment matches their needs. That’s why you don’t find frogs in the desert. But this is a lesson too many people ignore.According to one recent study, 80% of corporate employees were in jobs that did not make use of their talents. So is it any wonder that up to 60% of the polled workforce plans to switch jobs in the next 12 months? Most people—including IT professionals—spend more time researching a home computer purchase than they do deciding on their life’s work. They simply assume because they’re fascinated with computers that IT is the career for them. Besides, it pays well. But this kind of thinking is all-too-often a direct route to a “toxic job”.What to do?We all know how to figure out which computer is best for us. We make a chart. We gather information. We assign values. We find the right match between our needs, our desires and pocketbooks. The same kind of evaluation can help us find the right career match. We just need to evaluate a different set of parameters: our interests, values, personality style, temperament and life goals. If you’re going to find a career you truly love, a profession in which you will thrive, you have to align your innate aptitudes/talents with the requirements of the profession. For decades medical students have used certain typ

    Outsourcing Projects on the Internet
Outsourcing websites are some of the best tools that an online entrepreneur can have in his/her tool kit. What are outsourcing websites? These are sites like eLance.com, Rentacoder.com and others where there is a tremendous pool of talent waiting for the opportunity to bid on your job and help you.Generally, as entrepreneurs, we are one man/woman shows. We cannot possibly know all about everything. I once heard a saying that the smart person is the one who knows how much he doesn’t know. We need to have resources to call upon when we hit that roadblock where we recognize that we need help. The resources that we need can usually be found through one of these sites. Examples of work that you can have done on eLance.com include creation of a new logo (Boomer logo), translation of English to Italian for a Google Adwords campaign, moving and converting a phpBB discussion forum, reorganize a MySQL database, posting articles to numerous article sites, ghost writing, legal services, accounting services, web page design and creation, creation of a web site for book reviews, etc. This list goes on and on.The contractors on these sites make their living by doing a good job for a reasonable fee. If they do not perform well, they receive negative feedback (just like eBay) and future customers will not do business with them. When evaluating a contractor half way around the world, look how long the company or individual has been in business, look at the projects that they have done, study the feedback on the company. This process is very similar to studying an item on eBay to see if you want to trust the seller to perform. It seems that many entrepreneurs are uncomfortable doing business with a stranger half way around the world. Do your homework and make a decision based on solid research. The entrepreneurs who forge ahead are the ones who do not agonize over the problem, but rather find the talent to help them define and implement the solution.eLance is a great resource for this. If you do not use it to your advantage, you will not progress well at being an Internet entrepreneur.Go to eLance and sign up as a user at http://www.elance.com. It does not cost anything to register and you can learn about eLance on the site. When you
