What I am suggesting is that what we expect from life is of little consequence. The essential issue is what life expects from us.

You see, life is a lot like playing a game. In order to have a chance at winning, you must play according to the rules. Whatever your role in society, whatever part you play in life, the rules governing that role has already been established long before you appeared on the scene. If you enter certain homes in certain neighborhoods, the rules have already been set regarding how you should look and behave. If you go to a particular church, the dos and the don’ts had already been determined before you got there. The same is true of all life. The rules for survival were firmly established before we arrived on the scene.

The question life poses to us is how can we make it? How can we play the game of life honestly and fairly and still win? How can we win at life after we have been shocked, after we have found ourselves in one crisis after another, when all is well suddenly turn into all is hell? How can we win at life when regardless of how hard we try, nothing seem to jell? What can we do, what answers can we give life?

What do you do Job? Your children are all dead. Everything you had of value is all destroyed. Your friends have turned their backs on you. Your body is diseased and you are left sitting in the midst of ashes. What do you say to life Job?

I know that my Redeemer lives, (19:25a). Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. (1:21). All the days of my struggle I
    Maximizing Your Yellow Page Investment
Yellow Page users are the hottest of all prospects – someone who has made the decision to buy, and now is looking for a place to do it. Does your ad convince them that your business is that place? It doesn’t have to be the biggest, although that can certainly help. And if you do it right, it won’t even matter if your business is listed first. What matters is that your ad is the most persuasive.“But, Lisa!” you’re saying in your most shocked whisper, “Everybody knows that the first listing in a category gets the most response! That’s why so many business names start with ‘A.’”Well, yeah, if I’m faced with a list of indistinguishable company names, I’ll just go with the first one I see. And 99% of all Yellow Page ads seem to have the company name as their headline. But your business may be better than the one that starts with “A.” So why don’t you tell me that? Move your company name to the bottom, beside your phone number, and greet me with a bold headline telling me just what’s so great about you. Inve
Those of us who are familiar with this drama in miniature know that Job was a wealthy man, not only in terms of material possessions, more importantly in terms of the quality of his life. Yet, Job’s experiences reveal some important truths for all of us desiring to deepen our understanding of God and find renewed spiritual strength for our journey through this barren land.

If you read and meditate upon Job, you cannot miss the glaring spiritual truth that seems to permeate the entire book. The truth that regardless of how much you may own, regardless of how perfect and upright you may walk, regardless of how devoted to the Lord you may be, this does not keep you from having troubles in life.

The story of Job is a story of a winning and a losing, of sickness and healing from sickness, of losing faith in someone and gaining hope in God. It is a story of agony and ecstasy, weakness and strength. This is the story of Job. It is here, when we encounter Job’s experience, when we come face to face with problems and difficulties, that we can fully appreciate the words of the Ecclesiastes editor when he said; the race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong.

There is one thing we must accept in life and that is it is not how vigorous and enthusiastically you start out on the Christian journey, but how strong you end up when the journey’s over. The important thing is not how long you have been climbing the rough side of the mountains of life, but whether or not you will make it to the top. What is of paramount importance in a Christian’s life is not how rapidly or swiftly you started running this race, but if you are able to cross the finish line.

This is what life is all about. We can be optimistic, positive and view life through rose-colored glasses all we want, but in the final analysis, we learn there is something in the nature of life that presents one shock after another. When like Job, you think you have it made; everything is running smoothly, everybody is in good health, there is peace in the home and tranquility on the job. Then, all of a sudden all hell breaks loose. Everything becomes disjointed, your life begins to crumble, and everything you touch disintegrates. There is something in the nature of life that presents us with one problem after another.

Job was a man considered perfect and upright by God. He feared God and loved Him with all his heart, soul and mind. He was the father of seven sons and three daughters. He owned 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen and a large number of servants. Life for Job was going well. Then, out of nowhere, his life veered out of control.

Poor, Job. He had received no premonition, no forecast, no extrasensory perception, no dreams; no warning, and no handwriting on the walls to warn him that there would be a change in his circumstance. All at once, in the blink of an eye, Job is cast from the highest pinnacle of prosperity into the lowest depths of adversity and sorrow.

One moment his children are all together over the eldest brother’s house, eating, laughing, and exchanging experiences, and the next moment they are all dead when the house collapses on them. The loss of his property, the destruction of his servants, and probably the hardest blow of all, his children removed from the earth in one stroke. The joys of his heart, the hope of his life; all buried in one calamitous grave. How grieved and overwhelmed this servant of God must have been. Yet, he bequeaths to us some realities about life.

Many of the problems and difficulties we experience in life are not the result of anything that we have done personally. We just find ourselves thrown into circumstances that we did not create and are helpless to change. The families of the Virginia Tech students did not have anything to do with their children’s death. They just woke up one morning and found their happy home crumbling. It never occurred to the families of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks that they would never see their loved ones again after this date. They started the day as usual but before night fell, their lives were suddenly thrown into crisis.

Life is fickle. We can make the best plans, set the highest goals, and strive to make our dreams a reality. Then, sometimes faster than the speed of light, something spoils the plans, crushes our dreams and destroys our goals. Life has a lot of turns and roadblocks, curves and potholes. No wonder the hymnologist wrote: “Life is like a mountain railroad...Watch the curves, the fills, the tunnels...You will roll up grades of trial; you will cross the bridge of strife...You will often find obstructions; look for storms of wind and rain; On a fill, or curve, or trestle, they will almost ditch your train…”

Destiny, my friends is beyond our control. We cannot govern our destiny. Therefore, it would behoove us to accept the fact that into each life some rain must fall. The sun is not going to shine always. Our journey through life, no matter how we choose to define it, is not a luxury trip.

This is why I feel a certain sense of sadness and regret for people who tend to become disoriented and disjointed over small problems; people who over-react to minor difficulties, infantile troubles, and petty maladies. It is unfortunate because if you cannot manage elementary troubles that crop up in your life, then what are you going to do when the storms of life rage? What will you do when the dark clouds of adversity settles over your home? What will you do when you get to the chilly banks of Jordan? This is why Jesus asked his disciples, “Are you able to take the suffering that I am about to take?” (NLV). In other words, can you deal with life’s pressures and maintain your Christianity?

It really does not matter what questions we throw at life because life is asking the questions that demands an answer. Life is continuously questioning every man and whether or not we survive, depends largely upon our answers.

What do you say to life when you cannot make ends meet? When it seems like you are always running into dead end streets. What answers do you give?

What do you do when you have loved your children, sacrificed for their needs, prayed that God would send His angels to keep watch over them and they grow up to spit in your face. What answer do you give to life?

How do you respond when someone you thought was your friend, someone you thought you could depend on and lean on and trust, turns his or her back on you? What do you say to life?

What I am suggesting is that what we expect from life is of little consequence. The essential issue is what life expects from us.

Story Telling Instead of Selling; Understanding it All
If you are a sales person and problem solver you need to be schooled in the art of telling stories instead of telling people to buy what you are selling. People get rather tired of the same old lines and human like analogies and stories, it appears to be how our minds think these days. When story telling in order to help a client or potential customer see a point or understand a way of thinking related to what you are selling you need to know a few things first. One thing is make sure your story is not boring, as no one likes a boring story, gosh don’t you just hate that? I sure do.Next, make sure your story has something to do with the topic at hand and do not go off on a wild tangent with it. Your story must not only be relevant but something that the prospect can relate with on a closer level to their own business or life. And please do not blow smoke up their butts, make sure the story is true for gosh sakes, there is enough salesmen out there slinging enough BS, we certainly do not need any more. The Meaninglessness of Ford Motor Company
It seems like whenever when we turn on the radio or television, we see or hear another story about the sad state of affairs for domestic auto manufacturers. Sales continue to slide and quality continues to lag behind Asian imports.Ford Motor Company has certainly seen its share of this kind of “bad news.” In fact, a recent American Customer Satisfaction Index study ranked Ford last in customer satisfaction amid a continued decrease in sales numbers despite having a majority of new or recently refreshed models. Ford has told the press and its dealers that the reason why perceived quality remains low and dealer and corporate margins continue to shrink is that there are simply too many dealerships. The rationale, if you can call it that, is that the dealers are not making enough money because there is too much competition between Ford dealers. Dealer profits are down 10% in 2006 alone. The shrinking pool of Ford buyers is being spread too thinly. If dealers are not making money then they cannot take care of the

Digital Signage - The Future of Advertising Technology
Digital signage is new and experimental way to reach people when they are outside of their homes. Usually, this kind of advertisement consists of colorful banners, videos with or without audio and simple text messages that are displayed on electronic screens, displaying different advertisements at different times toward target audiences. Although Digital signage does initially cost more than the traditional television, radio, or old fashioned word of mouth advertising, it has been proven to have a greater return on the original investment. A firm could also choose to use more Dynamic digital signage which includes high definition resolution, 3D environments, and impressive audio tools to heighten the quality of ads. These signs are more effective because they are flashy and can grab people’s attention easily from across a crowded mall. Many companies are now trying to develop digital signage software to keep up with the changing advertising world. The goal is to create cutting edge software that will attract broader a
