How Over Regulations Hurts the Little Guy to believe. Now this may sound terrible because if the advert states something, then surely, it must be true. I always make 'allowances' for this type of advert by allowing the 'attract readers mode', this is the part of the advertisement that gains my attention and makes me read on to discover more details. If an advertisement states, 'you probably won't earn much money from this business but you could do', then I for one wouldn't want to look any closer…therefore I allow for the attention grabber. We have all heard horrendous stories of how over regulation crushes small business people who compete with the big dogs in various markets. It seems as if the government regulators are merely there to crush the little guy sometimes so that the big boys with lobbyist budgets can get the government to intervene via some Congressmen, Councilman, Senator, Corrupt Judge or County Supervisor.Well here is a story that is truly outrageous indeed; a total abuse of the system, but the Sierra Club. You see, I met someone recently who owned a mine in just North of Albuquerque in the hills about Santa Fe, New Mexico. Get this, he had a ten-mile road and the Sierra Club was made It is not until I send for the info pack Time for a Career Makeover? - Such Changes Occur from the Inside Out I always enjoy hearing about the success stories of people working from home, those who have started their own business and turned it into a money earning successWith the popularity of makeover shows on television, it is apparent that people are eager to make cosmetic changes in their lives. But what would happen if a coach approached you on the street and offered you a makeover? What would you want to change? Most individuals would jump at the chance for a career makeover. How many of you are really working in a job that is aligned with your passion? Can you say that you love what you are doing and do you get excited about getting up in the morning to go to work? Does your job fit with your skills, talents, interests and abilities? Would you throw it all away for that career you always wanted but did not feel you could choos There are publications and even television programmes dedicated to peoples success in running their chosen business, a business that they enjoy being involved with and are normally shown earning plenty of extra money because of it. However, every now and again, one hears of the downside of trying to run a business, I had an experience of this just before Christmas last year when a subscriber to my newsletter sent me a letter which asked to be taken off of my list and could he possibly have a refund for unsent copies. He stated that there was nothing wrong with the newsletter, he was a subscriber to several home business publications and had asked to me removed from them all. He explained that he had been trying for several years to be a success in working from home but that he had finally decided to call it a day. It's a shame when somebody gives up altogether after trying so hard, he had spent 'thousands' promoting the various business opportunities which he had listed in the letter. To be honest, I wouldn't have given the opportunities that he'd mentioned house room, very weak and not all were what I'd describe as being genuine and legal. If only somebody was around to advice him on this he probably would still want to make a go of it and would, no doubt, be earning from working at home. The investment into mailing lists, mail shots, advertising, stationery, telephone calls, general marketing, petrol etc. etc. had all gone to waste as the writer could not make anything work to the degree that it could be called a success. In other words he didn't earn any money out of any of the businesses that he had tried so hard to promote. Reading his letter to me, I could tell that he had fallen for the advertising that was used to promote the various opportunities. When they state that you can 'make thousands of pounds every week from your kitchen table' you should never take it literally because, although you probably can in theory, it isn't usually as simple as the advertisement leads you to believe. She is also a loving and caring mother of three kids. Sarah is happily married to an equally busy man. They have lots of friends and an active life outside work. It sounds too good to be true! How does she manage? Some years ago Sarah was overwhelmed, frustrated, constantly tired and ready to stop her professional dreams. She worked over 60 hours per week, and tried desperately to catch up with dead lines and projects, meetings blended with business travel. She had difficulties to deliver in time, her occupational stress level was high and her job motivation was low. Parents are supposed to hand down valuable teachings and cultural guidance.Unfortunately, most parents don’t teach their children the language of business. Most parents don’t even know about the “Language of Success.”How could they know? You can now buy pocket scales that weigh less than a pound and are the size of a small flip phone – yet still promise to weigh substances with accuracy up to .01g – one hundredth of a gram. These are not your Uncle Jak It is not until I send for the info pack that I seriously look into the opportunity. I look at every conceivable outcome. What do I have to do to make it work, does it involve a heavy investment, what can I realistically expect from it each month, do I have to work hard, does it rely heavily on me advertising it, is it totally legal and ethical…the list goes on. I have been 'hurt' by business opportunities in the past but, just as long as it wasn't my fault, I simply go on giving 'working from home' my best shot as I believe you have to fail a lot of times before you finally make it. All of the worlds most successful business entrepreneurs have failed with something in the past, it's just the successful ones that are brought to everyone's attention which makes you think, 'why can't I be like them', the answer is, you can, but you just have to keep on going until it happens. If you are dedicated enough you WILL be successful, its just a matter of when. It doesn't matter what type of business is being offered in working from home, all of them have to grab your attention. I believe that the gentleman who wrote me the letter simply invested in the aforementioned categories no matter what, just hoping that one of them would 'be the one' and bring him in the money that he was dreaming of. A home business is the same as any other type of business but you just do it from home. You still have to work...very hard...you should enjoy what you do or it won't work, you must invest time, money and effort because there is no such thing as easy money where you sign up to a company and 'automatically' earn big cash. Lots of people new to the home business scene expect that this is the way it works, let me tell you that it doesn't, ever!. Reasons for failing in home business are varied but the most common is that a person thinks it will be easy with little time invested and, within a few weeks or months, they would start receiving large valued cheques through the post from the company that they 'signed up' with. When they find they get very little or even nothing at all, they get disheartened and eventually give up and say that home business is a rip off. It isn't a rip off at all, yes, there are 'con merchants' about but
