In the last article part 1 of this subject we talked about selling the wrong "ideas" which promotes laziness for example"just join my company you'll get spillover, etc… No one is ever going to make very much money if they don't work the business. The second thing was just simply not doing anything and this is usually the result of people not knowing what to do. Also, talking with 'friends and family' first is in my opinion one of the worst things you can do starting out for obvious reasons! At this time in your career you don't need any ridicule or negativism especially from friends and family. You're just too vunerable at this point in your career. The last thing we talked about was not managing your time wisely. We only have so much and we need to make the best use of what time we have.

This week I want to discuss one of the major mistakes that can and often does lead to failure in network marketing, and that is choosing the wrong company. One must be careful to do due diligence on whichever company they plan to join. I can't stress this enough. Some of the things a person should look at is how long has the company been in business? Most companies less than 2 years old go under and many distributors are left "hung out to dry" so to speak. You don't want to spend time building a business just to see it go under in a couple of years or less. This is one critical factor in choosing a network marketing company.

The next is company experience which goes hand in hand with the previous mistake. A company may have enough marketing and business savvy to stay in business, but if they don't have any previous network marketing experience especially in the compensation plan department then big trouble can ensue if they start changing the comp. plan. This is a continual problem in this industry unfortunately. When a comp. plan changes this could (and often does), take several thousands of dollars away from the top distributors and others under them. Sometimes people lose a whole group of people! This is sad, but it happens.

Another mistake is not doing proper follow-up with customers and potential distributors. As they say the "fortune is in the follow-up"!

The next mistake to avoid is in not having a big enough reason for doing the business in other words your "why" needs to be big and strong enough to carry you through the hard times. Because hard times will come and if your reason for doing the business is weak then so will your resolve to stick it out be weak. You must have a strong reason or 'why' for doing your business.

Blog and Ping - A Search Engine Traffic Bonanza
Everyone is talking about blogs these days as the magic money-making marketing tool. Return on Expenses - Part Two
In the last article we discussed cutting expenses on the income side. Let's go to the opposite side of your business now - cutting costs on what you pay out. The first thing that comes to most people minds is discounts on what they buy. Trade Discounts are reductions to your bills for paying early. They are often written as a percentage of the total sale (not including shipping or sales tax) if the invoice is paid
