We have to remember that Networking is all about people, and when you are training your downline, “people skills” are the most valuable and powerful skills to use.
Unfortunately some MLMers are in the place they do not want to be: they might be with the company they do not like or with an upline they cannot stand.
Here are some things I have come across. If you can identify with some of them, it might be time to start searching for a new home!
-Your sponsor keeps telling you to do stupid things to build your business, that he is not even doing himself.
For example, a Networker in the UK said his sponsor tells him to distribute 100 DVDs a month, for free, which cost 10 pounds each, to find prospects for his business. In this case the sponsor is not doing anything else than collecting the money from the DVDs!
One friend in Scandinavia was told to buy a huge amount of product at the end of each month, so that the upline team would qualify for the certain rank within the company. There was no benefit at all for the Distributor.

I’m sure that sponsors who do these things do not mean to do any harm. They do it because this is simply this is what their sponsor told them, or they do not know any better way of doing it.
Most people like the concept of networking but they cannot make it work for them based on what they have been told.
So how do you know you are in a right company? Here are some questions you might want to ask yourself
-When you go to meet your team members do you feel great about it or do you feel bad?
-Are you excited to meet these people or is it a burden?
- Do you talk about constructive things or do you whine about problems?
-When you talk with your sponsor is he/she helpful and supportive? Does he/she show you new ways to do your business or does he/she complain and tell you do to things that he does not do himself?
-When you receive an email from your sponsor are you excited and eager to open it? Or do you think “Damn I’ll read that later!”
-When you get a phone call from you sponsor are you eager to answer, or do you think “Oh him again”?
These are all important indicators that you might be in the wrong place.
You might want to consider finding a company which is more comfortable for you. There are a lot of companies out there. The most important thing is to find a support team where you have your kind of people and you feel comfortable working with them.
