The seller looked at me as if I was from another planet somewhere in the solar system. They told me under no way shape of form would they sell their home under $525,000! I have no idea how many of you would handle this type of seller,but I felt that it was time someone "told these people the truth".. The conversation is as follows: Me: The home has been listed since July 2005! Do you realize this is an extremely long time for the home to stay on the market! Seller: We have to have a break even point in order to purchase our next home in Tennessee! Me: That's great,but the market has shown that the actual sale price is too high for this area, aren`t you concerned? Seller: The first agent we felt wasn`t doing their job properly, the second tried but didn`t bring us any buyers, which we blame them for.Our home is gorgeous! The AC is almost new (5yrs,) the Roof is in great shape ( 12 years) and the appliances are rarely used (9yrs old). Me; Again, that`s all well and good, but two years on the market indicates that there are issues with the price! Don`t you want to address what the real problem is?
